Maybe you’ve been coming to VBF for two weeks. Maybe ten years. Maybe you've already tested the waters and you're ready to step up your involvement. How do people get connected and develop friendships in a church this big?
Six great ways:
1. Attend Christianity Classes .
What’s at the heart of VBF? And what makes your heart beat faster? Scheduled five times a year, these classes explore VBF, God, your purpose in life and spiritual growth.
2. Join a group.
Whether it's a Mighty Men or Women In Action Group where you connect through devotional study; or support group where you discover safe community and healing, groups are the places to develop friendships.
3. Come to Midweek Service .
Our midweek service offers something different than what you experience in the weekend service. It's a more casual feel where we share more insider information about our church "family", study more of the Bible, and have an extended time of praise and worship.
4. Plug into a volunteer team.
Be part of something bigger than yourself. Use your gifts and experiences to serve others and develop friendships on a team along the way.
5. Attend an event.
There's always something going on at this place. Special events, concerts, projects, classes and more. Try one out.
6. Join our online community at Mychurch.org.
This is a great way to get to know other people within the church. This website is similar to myspace, but is focused solely on the idea of the church getting more connected with one another. You can create a profile about yourself and view other profiles of people who attend VBF. Please note that we do not recommend children under the age of 16 creating their own profiles at this time.
